The NUI Seanad Éireann election 2025 has concluded, and the following three candidates have been elected:

The polls closed in the Seanad Éireann election for the three seats in the NUI constituency on Wednesday, 29th January 2025 at 11.00 am. The counting of votes began thereafter in Hall 3 of the RDS in Dublin, continuing until Thursday, 30 January.

We are very pleased to have facilitated the final Seanad Éireann election for the three-seat NUI constituency, and we congratulate Senators Higgins, McDowell and Mullen who will continue to represent this constituency.

Michael McDowell was deemed elected on the first count with 11,390 votes. On count 8, Rónán Mullen (with 9,107 votes) and Alice-Mary Higgins (with 8,822 votes) were elected.
