Centennial Prizes 2008

NUI Centennial Prizes for Academic Publishing

To celebrate the centenary of the National University of Ireland, NUI invites applications for prizes for academic publishing.  Graduates of the National University of Ireland and members of staff of the constituent universities and recognised colleges of NUI are eligible to enter for these prizes. Entrants must be of doctoral status and the doctoral degree must have been awarded no earlier than 1 January 1990.

 

Languages, Literature and Linguistics

A prize of €5,000 is offered in the areas of languages, literature and linguistics for the best work, published since 1 January 2005, as a first sole author book. The work, which should be substantial, must be of an original character indicating direct personal research.

Medical and Health Sciences

Three prizes of €5,000 are offered for scholarly publication in the areas of medicine and health sciences. The prizes will be awarded on the basis of a list of publications and curriculum vitae.
