As a memorial to its former Chancellor, NUI has established the Dr Garret FitzGerald Lectures which are an annual lecture series by distinguished speakers on topics of national or international importance.
This third lecture, European Integration and the Taming of Nationalism by Dr Peter Sutherland, European Commissioner 1985-1988, will take place on Friday 31 Janurary 2014 at 6.00 p.m. in the Aula Maxima, Quadrangle Building, National University of Ireland, Galway.
Professor Gerard Quinn, School of Law, National University of Ireland, Galway, will make a response.
Guests are requested to be seated by 5.45 p.m. The lecture will be followed by a reception.
