NUI is delighted to launch the Spanish Embassy and NUI Prizes for Proficiency in Spanish 2017
The National University of Ireland is delighted to announce a new collaboration with the Spanish Embassy in Ireland and Junta de Castilla y Léon in Spain as part of its promotion of foreign language learning in NUI constituent universities.
NUI has a long history of promoting the learning of foreign languages and recognising the achievements of language students in the constituent universities by awarding scholarships and prizes. In particular, some of these awards are in partnership with embassies in Ireland, notably the French Embassy.
NUI has now teamed up with the Embassy of Spain in Ireland and Junta de Castilla y Léon to offer prizes to students of Spanish in each of the NUI constituent universities. These prizes will offer each recipient a week-long Spanish language course in the Castilla y Léon region of Spain, accommodation & meals, a cash prize and more.
The Schools and Departments of Spanish in each of the NUI constituent universities will be contacted in June 2017 to nominate the top students in the final year of their BA programmes in Spanish for these awards.
