Applications for NUI Grants towards Scholarly Publications
The NUI Publications Scheme aims to support and encourage publications and scholarly research by academic staff in the NUI Constituent Universities, Recognised Colleges or Colleges linked with an NUI constituent university.
The scheme seeks to promote the highest standards of excellence in academic publishing, based on peer review and critical reading of texts prior to publication.
Under the scheme, approximately €40,000 has been made available in 2020 for individual grants of up to €3,000 each, which may be awarded following the Senate’s consideration and approval of recommendations submitted by the NUI Publications Committee.
The regulations governing this scheme are set out on the application form.
The NUI Publications Committee meets twice a year, with closing dates for receipt of applications normally on 1 June and 1 December. In the particular circumstances of this year, NUI has decided to extend the closing date for this round of grants to Wednesday 1 July 2020.
