The details of the forthcoming elections to Seanad Éireann have now been confirmed. Three members of Seanad Éireann will be elected in the NUI constituency.
The last day for receipt of nominations in the NUI constituency is 14 February 2020.
Further information for prospective candidates is available in due course.
Voting papers will be posted on Friday 28 February 2020 to all registered electors to the addresses recorded on the register. The close of poll will be 11.00 a.m. on 31 March 2020.
Only graduates whose names appear in the current register are eligible to vote at the time of an election.
In line with legislation, the 2019 revision of the NUI Seanad Éireann register (published on 1 June 2019) will be used for the issuing of ballot papers for the 2020 election.
Voting papers are posted to all registered graduates, no matter where in the world you live.
Graduates who are already registered and who wish to inform NUI of any change of address may do so by email (records@nui.ie), by Fax (01- 439 24 77), by writing to: National University of Ireland, Records Office, 49 Merrion Square, Dublin 2 D02 V583 or by fully completing and returning the form below to, NUI. Changes wil not be made over the telephone.
The form below may be used for two purposes:
- To update details, such as postal addresses, for graduates who are already registered. The form should be completed in full and hand signed.
- To claim your vote for the 2020 Register that will be published on 1st June 2020. Please note that as above, the June 2020 Register will not be used for the forthcoming Spring 2020 election.
The form can then be scanned and attached to an email and sent to records@nui.ie or posted to Records Office, National University of Ireland, 49 Merrion Square, Dublin 2 D02 V583.
