Potential and Poverty:  How can we ensure everybody thrives

The National University of Ireland is pleased to continues its lecture and seminar series. These series of events will, in line with our recently published strategy, seek to focus on areas of educational policy.

The National University of Ireland, in 2024, is furthering its advocacy of widening participation and access within higher education; looking to build on the establishment of a specific award in 2023 related to this important area, by hosting the GFG memorial lecture that will highlight the important research that is being undertaken on this topic within the sector.

Dr Katriona O'Sullivan (Maynooth University) will deliver Potential and Poverty: How can we ensure everybody thrives; with Dr Niamh O’Mahoney (UCC & the NUI Garret FitzGerald Post-doctoral Fellow) as respondent.

The lecture will be on 23 May 2024 at the NUI office, 49 Merrion Square, Dublin 2. The seminar will commence at 5pm with a drinks reception afterwards.

Queries can be directed to Kieran McGovern, Head of Academic Services and Registry, NUI, at kmcgovern@nui.ie.
