The three pieces for which Sarah Wiegersma won the NUI Art and Design Prize were influenced by Majolica ceramics, Victorian objects and repeating patterns in nature. Sarah cast found objects to create all parts of the pieces - spheres cast from light fixtures, petals cast from spoons and the top from a carved wooden banister.
