Ailbhe Travers

Ailbhe Travers' primary and secondary education was in Gaelscoil Thulach Na nÓg and in St Peter's College, Dunboyne. She is a graduate of Maynooth University, holding a BA Hons in Mathematics and Music. Inspired by the transformational difference that teachers can make in the lives of young people, she pursued the Professional Masters in Education Post-Primary also in Maynooth University. As part of her PME, Ailbhe undertook research in the area of restorative practice and investigated the effects that four restorative practice techniques had on the stress and job satisfaction levels of second year PME Post-Primary students. Ailbhe also completed a certificate in social justice during her time at Maynooth University. Following her great love of music, Ailbhe served in an officer capacity with the Maynooth University musical society for three years leading to growth in the group. Ailbhe is currently teaching in Coláiste de Lacy, Ashbourne and is enthusiastic in applying her new learning in the school community.
