“I studied Theoretical Physics at UCD before completing a Masters in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge. With the support of the NUI Travelling Doctoral Studentship in Theoretical Physics, I will return to the University of Cambridge, and the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics in particular, to undertake a PhD. The research will focus on the quantum aspects of gravity (String Theory) and its physical implications, especially to Cosmology.
Receiving an NUI Travelling Doctoral Studentship has provided me with the opportunity to be supervised by one of the world’s foremost experts in the Fundamental Physics of the early universe, Professor Fernando Quevedo. I am looking forward to collaborating with subject experts, developing my own knowledge and hopefully contributing to our understanding of Beyond the Standard Model Physics and the very early universe.”
