Nobel Laureate Honoured at UCC

Group Photo Chancellor's Election to RIAAt a ceremony on 8 September 2010, Dr James Dewey Watson was honoured in UCC with an honorary DSc of the National University of Ireland. In 1962 Dr Watson shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Francis Crick and Maurice Wilkins for elucidating the structure of DNA. While in Cork, Dr Watson gave the Inaugural Cancer Lecture of the Cork Cancer Research Centre.
