President receives representatives of the National University of Ireland and Queen’s University Belfast Áras an Uachtaráin Thursday 6 November 2008 at 2.30
To celebrate the shared centenary of the National University of Ireland and Queen’s University Belfast, the President of Ireland Mary McAleese graciously received representatives of both universities in Áras an Uachtaráin on Thursday 6 November 2008. The NUI delegation was headed by the Chancellor Dr Garret FitzGerald. He was accompanied by the Presidents of the four NUI constituent universities, UCC UCD NUI Galway and NUI Maynooth, with members of the NUI Senate, the Recognised Colleges and other representatives of the university. The Queen’s delegation was led by the Vice-Chancellor Professor Peter Gregson, with the Pro-Chancellor Sir David Fell and other university representatives.
