On behalf of the National University of Ireland, I send my best wishes this Christmas to all the members of the University, to the students and staff of the constituent universities and recognised colleges and to all NUI graduates in Ireland and throughout the world. At the end of this difficult year, Iet us pledge our energies in 2011 to renewal and regrowth in the intellectual, social and cultural life of Ireland, as well as in its economic life.
