In celebration of the centenary of the birth of Brian O’Nolan (Ó Núalláin, Myles na gCopaleen, Flann O’Brien) on 5 October 1911 we are happy to post his record from the National University of Ireland Archives. Brian Ó Nú alláin matriculated in 1929 and entered University College Dublin. He graduated with a BA in 1932 and an MA in 1935. A celebrated novelist, dramatist and journalist, his works include At Swim-Two-Birds (1939), The Hard Life (1962) The Dalkey Archive (1964) and The Third Policeman (1968) all published as Flann O’Brien. His novel in Irish An Béal Bocht (by Myles na gCopaleen) was published in 1941. Brian O’Nolan died on 1 April 1966.
