Marian McCarthy

I am a former Vice President for Teaching and Learning (Interim) and retired Director of the Centre for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning (CIRTL) at University College Cork (UCC).

I have served two consecutive terms on the Governing Body of UCC and on the Senate of the NUI. I have spent 42 years teaching and researching in second and third level education.

I continue to play an active role therein, committed to the development of the scholarship of teaching and learning, the advancement of diversity and inclusion, and the role of the arts in higher education.
